4 Peaks Precision Rifle Match

The purpose of our "PRS" (Precision Rifle Shooting) matche is to provide a safe, controlled sporting event where shooters interested in refining practical/tactical/and rifle-hunting skills are required to adapt to challenging field positions to engage steel targets of various sizes and shapes at distances from 250- to 550 yards.

Matches involve five to seven stages, each of which requires shooters to use different physical positions and support techniques (such as bipods, sandbags, prone, sitting and standing positions).  Stages require firing 10-shots in 90 seconds or less.  All firing takes place from fixed stages that avoid running, climbing, or moving more than a few feet.  Scopes in the 8x to 35x power are typically used.  Caliber limits are .223 - .308 with 75 rounds needed for a match.  Rifle classifications range from high-end "unlimited" rifles to AR15-type gas-operated rifles  to factory "production" guns.  Binoculars or spotting scopes are helpful for studying the course of fire prior to and during the match.
